Encouraging clients, businesses and individuals to utilize our CASTING STUDIO database when looking for someone to so a specific job is one of our main objectives. The more jobs and opportunities our members can get and be exposed to the better for all concerned.
The NMC offering has specifically been structured to enhance and compliment, not compete with, that which agents, agencies and modeling school are already doing to find work for their models. In this day and age it is not good business to show away “healthy” opportunities that can improve your market share and profit margin.
For this reason we have conceptualized and implemented the BOOKERS TABLE initiative to service the CASTING STUDIO. Instead of employing several individuals to specifically market our members we decided to adopt a more liberal approach in allowing “registered bookers” access to lodge an enquiry and book the services of anyone forming part of our database.
The CASTING STUDIO will provide bookers with the following functionality -
- Enable a booker to host an online casting session via the advanced search and casting room tools
- Enable a booker to e-mail / send a casting session link to a client for review, comments and / or approval
- Allow a booker to send an availability enquiry to any registered member via e-mail and/or sms
- Enable registered members to accept / decline any booking enquiries from bookers
- Enable a booker to book a registered member on line through the NMC online calender
All of the above mentioned functions can be done online and is simultaneously confirmed by e-mail to both the booker and member.
If you are not a registered booker you will not be able to lodge an enquiry or book anyone.
To underline our privacy and security policies when it comes to the booking of anyone found via our NMC database we have formulated a strict communication process to which all bookers have to adhere.
If a booker wants to a submit an enquiry or book someone our online booking system will allow the booker the opportunity to send-off the enquiry or booking request via SMS or e-mail without revealing the model’s contact details. The enquiry will either go to the model direct (except for minors it will go to the legal guardian/parent) or in the case where the model is registered under another profile holder, the enquiry will go to the relevant profile holder.
The person receiving the enquiry can decide to accept, decline or ignore the booking request received. This will be done via e-mail through the NMC system without revealing the models contact details. It is up to the person receiving the enquiry to reveal his/her contact details to the booker and to contact and negotiate with the booker directly.
The entire availability request and finalization of a booking for every registered member is managed by the profile holder via an interactive calendar. The calendar allows profile holders to keep track of the availability and booking requests received, declined and/or accepted and it also keeps a complete record of all communications between bookers and profile holders.
Booking fees and commissions are negotiated between bookers and profile holders and/or the model, where the model is independent. Note that no booking or commission fee is payable or due to the NMC and that we only provide the communication platform between models and bookers. The NMC accordingly does not want to get involved in the negotiations between bookers and models/profile holders and will only deal with technical enquiries regarding the functioning of the website.
SMILE and STAFF IN STYLE initiatives (associations of booking agents) are however ready available to all parties concerned should they feel it necessary to involve a booking agent to assist with the negotiation and management of a job. The booking agent will then charge the member or client a fee to provide the necessary assistance.
Individuals and businesses who wish to join the the NMC family need only pay a monthly subscription fee of R60.00 (per category) per person / business.
The membership works from month to month and no long term agreement needs to be signed. All registered members also receive a free webmail account.
